CITY OF HARTFORD ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS (August 30, 1955)
Agenda
3. Application of The Texas Company for extension of non-conforming use to permit an addition to gasoline service station building on premises known as No. 369 Woodland Street. C-l Residence Zone.

Hearing transcript shown. A prior variance from 1942 is noted.

The Texas Company's leading brand was Texaco. In 1959 the company adopted Texaco as its corporate name.

The "Cherlin Brothers" involved here appear to be Daniel and George

In any case family recollections confirm that Daniel worked for Lipman Motors, Inc., which was incorporated in 1946, and that George ran a Texaco station for some time.
