Ketubah in Hebrew

This is a marriage contract. It concerns Jacov Berish, represented by Dov son of the late Aniva, and Rele Tobias, daughter of the late Shmuel, represented by Asher Anshil.

They agree to marry, there is some agreement about property, and Asher Anshil agrees that four weeks before the wedding he will give some money and provide the bride's clothing. Also he will provide an apartment in his house. It seems the wedding takes place around Shavuot, and the other document places the wedding in 1889 (5650).

It seems also that two more people are mentioned: Yiscar Berish Geller and Avraham Vulkan. Four witnesses sign, three of them in Hebrew, and the two signatures on the right side are legible. Then underneath, the engaged couple sign: Jacov Dov Bochenek and Rele Tobias.

Here is the text in a partially translated form:

Good luck will rise and grow like a moist garden: found a wife, found goodness.
"He who knows the end from the beginning", he will give a good name and the rest to them. The words of the conditions and the covenant which were agreed and stipulated between ... the "sides twain" ... . From one side [h'h] the great and distinguished ... ... Dov son of the late Aniva of-blessed-memory standing on the side of the groom the young man who is Mr. Jacov Berish [m']... and from the second side the great and distinguished chasid [mu-h] Asher Anshil [m-] standing on the side of the maiden the bride Rele [ty-] daughter of the late Shmuel of-blessed-memory and in the question of ... she said "yes".
[R-d] the young man the groom who is Mr. Yacov Berish, abovementioned, .. to-good-luck and to-[bsh-m] the maiden bride Miss Rele [ty-] in the huppah and the wedding according to the faith of Moses and Israel. And they will not abandon and will not [alimu] neither he from her nor she from him not any possession or money at all ... and they will control their property from year to year.
