What's new, Winter 2004:

February 2004:

Anna Czerwin, a Czech-American, born in 1822, living in New York with daughter Anna and son-in-law Joseph Dwoshack in 1880.

We got in some very interesting information about a Chervin line in Argentina, which is tied up with the history of Baron Hirsch and the Jewish immigration project in Entre Rios province. See the page of Leon Chervin.

There is some other material up: listings from the Social Security Death Index, and some links to a few entries from JewishGen (accessible from the variants page - click on one of the linked variants to bring up a table with further links).

January 2004:

What's new is ... everything. We now have the domain name chervin.org and a home page for the Chervin family based on the old Cherlin home page. We hope Chervin genealogists and family members will find us and share their information.

Our most concrete resource is the Ellis Island information for variations of the name Chervin, sorted in various ways and linked to the original manifests at the Ellis Island database.

Carried over from the Cherlin page, we have the Vilna Cherlin line which is actually a Chervin line with an early name change following immigration.
